Have any of you film folks noticed that John Carpenter’s The Thing has been elevated out of obscurity over the last few years? It’s always been a favorite film of ours at Transmissions From The Forbidden Planet, and we’re pretty stoked that it’s finally getting the respect it always deserved. So please join us on this episode as we talk about all things The Thing. Like the original novella Who Goes There?, the various film versions, and some of our personal theories and experiences on the storyline. Then when you’re done, maybe one of you can tell me if Derrick seems different to you.
